Ezrah and Sister Schultz take a train to San Francisco to meet Edward Jiang, who may be able to help remove Ezrah's curse. On the way, Ezrah has a dream of ill omens to come. They meet Edward at his bookstore in Chinatown, and discover he has many secrets of his own.
