Jonnie Hogenstad: Exploring environmentalism and what the ocean has to offer

In this episode, Jonnie Hogenstad shares his experience studying environmental studies at Portland State University and its unique urban setting. He continues on to share his project he is working on: a kelp farm. Kelp is used to make many everyday products: toothpastes, shampoos, frozen foods, and even pharmaceuticals. Kelp also presents a key opportunity to be used as cattle feed, which dramatically could reduce the impact of the dairy industry.
