Sara is an Assistant Professor at the School of Geographical Sciences and Urban Planning at Arizona State University and Ladd is an Assistant Professor in Planning and Chair of Sustainable Built Environments at The University of Arizona. Ladd and Sara discuss: the complexities of urban heat; heat equity; planning tools; case studies of cities doing urban heat resilience effectively and policies for federal approaches to heat management.
