Part of our job as people made in the image of God is to protect the vital core of our heart so there is room to give love abundantly. But if we don’t have good boundaries, our hearts get plundered. When we’re not assertive, we begin to resent those around us, stifling love. Often, saying ‘no’ means ‘I love you.’ There are many ways to say ‘I love you.’
