When Clark starts doing some Kryptonian sleep-flying in his dreams, he decides to follow things up by using the ship key in the caves, and afterward, he can read the language on the cave walls. Lex becomes suspicious of Clark and believes he has more knowledge than he lets on. After Clark accidentally burns a glyph into the side of the barn, he is contacted by the reclusive Virgil Swann.
