Episode 56: Knowing the Spirit-Week 5 of 12-What is the Baptism of the Holy Spirit

Back for Week 5 as we unpack an important topic and ultimately reality for every believer in Christ, the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. This is a big topic and it takes a great amount of time to discuss it, so I have broken this chapter into two separate weeks. We will look at specific texts to understand what Baptism is. The scripture that Costi has us focus on this week is found in 1 Corinthians 12:13 where it reads, “For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body-whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free-and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.” What did this mean for the early church and what does this mean for us as believers today? Join me as we go to the Word of God to guide us through this subject and use Cost’s book, Knowing the Spirit, as our secondary resource. My hope is you walk away with a greater understanding of who the Holy Spirit is and why being Baptized in Him is the most important event that will take place in your life.
