Season 7 Episode 3 - Jenny Horvath’s experience

In this episode of Room 64, we are joined by Jenny Horvath sharing her experience with palliative care when her daughter Jess died at the age of 37 after a long illness.  Jenny talks about her relationship with Jess, the love they shared as a family and her health challenges. Throughout the journey Jess, self-described as "Zena the warrior woman", maintained a sense of humour and found support in the care and love of her parents, her family and the Barwon Health Palliative Care team.

Jenny talks openly about the fear of dying and the importance of education and conversations to help ease the stress and deal with the decision making.
