Jye Dean is my new running coach for 100 days to 100kms! And an absolute legend with so much advice to share.
He grew up on the Gold Coast and loved sport, specifically running, throughout his early years up until year 11 at school. But here after making national teams in school he hit burnout and quit running completely.
Similarly to me after finishing school, he found the party scene which led him down a path he at times wasn't super proud of. After meeting his partner he went on a Europe trip to experience the world and had a great time. Once he got home he was lost with what to do with his life. And then he found running again.
Jye and his partner started the Salt Social run club to have a healthy way to connect with his mate which has grown into a huge weekly community getting together for a run, swim and coffee. He also has gotten back into his running and is killing it in 50km ultra-marathons. He has qualified for the world champs this year in France!
We breakdown in this episode my running program and also some simple tips to improve your running too.
