About Laurie Alice Eakes
Although the name under which she publishes is Laurie Alice Eakes, she prefers to answer to simply Alice. Many years ago, she chose to publish under her full name because a publicist told her it was a good name. She always liked it, and now, after over 30 books have been published, the time has come for that version of the author to retire.
Nearly all of Alice'sbooks are still in print,--seven are on audible The library of Congress bard system has recorded three books and put another one into braille.
In addition, Alice has written a short story in an anthology called artificial divide which is also available at Audible and BARD. She has written numerous articles that have been widely published including in the Huffington post.
Alice loves to come up with new plots, new characters, and new settings. Now she's ready to write in a new genre. When she isn't scheming in her brain or on virtual paper, ,She likes to watch movies, listen to music, attend live concerts and theater. She loves being in nature, especially if it involves being near or on water.
She lives just north of Chicago and just west of Lake Michigan with her husband, her guide dog, Two cats, and another dog.
