Statement signed in the early days
In the early days giants in the tech sphere like Sam Altman and Bill Gates signed a statement which read: "Mitigating the risk of extinction from AI should be a global priority alongside other societal-scale risks such as pandemics and nuclear war."
And then...nothing happened.
