Demon in the shape of a woman. The widow Blanque. Savage mistress. She goes by many names, but Madame Lalaurie remains a fixture in New Orleans history and lore even 165 years after her death. Her story tragically recounts the brutal reality of slavery in a horrifying and gruesome manner because for more than 150 years and through several generations the Lalaurie house has been considered the most haunted location in the french quarter.
