Wrinkles Schminkles

Throughout our lives, advertising follows us around promising eternal youth and anti ageing as if ageing was some sort of terminal disease. Radiant beauty, dewy skin and a perky disposition are promised as the ultimate states of being. How have we become such slaves to “youth” and why don’t we promote the glory, humour and joy that comes with age? We appreciate a wine for its vintage, realising that rest, time and maturation encourage a complexity that give it ‘legs’ and make it truly valuable and unique.Aren’t wrinkles on our faces the same as the legs of a fabulous wine?
