In this episode we'll hear from Dr. Swart on her road to empowerment.  Dr. Swart is a registered nurse and serves as the Executive Director of ANA-Illinois, Illinois Society for Advanced Practice Nursing and the Illinois Nurses Foundation.  She is also the CEO/President of SYS Consulting Solutions, Inc.  She is currently serving as the Vice President of the American Nurses Association.  Her expertise is in issues related to the scope of practice, ethics, nursing regulation, and public policy development as well as non-profit management.
