Learn It Live It Give It with Jairek Robbins
Health:Self-Help
What makes these two people so different?
One seemingly runs into more problems, fears, and worry, while the other always seems to find a way to make lemonade out of lemons and good things constantly “fall into their lap”.
While their resources may be the same, the major differentiator is their resourcefulness. This is something my dad used to share with me “It’s not about your resources, it’s about your resourcefulness.” It’s a saying I’ve seen tried and true.
That very saying helped me find an even deeper meaning to life that I’m excited to share with you in today’s JRCtv.
You see when I looked even deeper into the abundance reached by those who were incredibly resourceful, I realized there was a common denominator among them. There weren’t “in it” just for themselves.
Everything they did was for a reason bigger than themselves. Whether their friends, their family, or simply strangers, they were serving and giving to life at it full capacity.
They made me realize at a very young age that “life supports that which supports life”. That is, when you can reach for a way to give to life (be it in the forms of your friends, family, strangers, God, the universe) without any expectations of return, life will indeed reward you in big ways.
It’s the only explanation, or common correlation I’ve been able to see among people living in scarcity or abundance. One is focused completely on themselves and nobody else. The other is focused on how they can help others and how they can learn, live and give in such a way that life honors and rewards them for the greatness they bring to life.
What about you? What mindset do you live in? Have you found yourself filling fuller and more abundant when you give out of the kindness of your heart versus when you’re only looking out for yourself?
