Today's reading is from The Promulgation of Universal Peace by Abdu'l-Baha, pages 39-42, from a talk given by Abdu'l-Baha on April 21, 1912, at the Universalist Church in Washington DC. We continue with the Hidden Words of Baha'u'llah, from the Arabic, the second Hidden Word:
"O Son of Spirit!
The best beloved of all things in My sight is Justice;
Turn not away therefrom if though desirest Me, and neglect it not that
I may confide in thee. By its aid thou shalt see with thine own eyes and not
through the eyes of others, and shalt know of thine own knowledge
and not through the knowledge of thy neighbour. Ponder this in thy heart;
how it behoveth thee to be. Verily justice is My gift to thee and
the sign of My loving-kindness. Set it then before thine eyes."
I close with a prayer for Spiritual Growth by Baha'u'llah from the Baha'i Prayer Book, page 170.
