Today's passages are from Some Answered Questions by Abdu'l-Baha, pages 78-80, titled True Wealth, and Prescription for Living by Ruhiyyih Khanum, pages 62-63. We continue our reading of The Hidden Words of Baha'u'llah with the thirteenth Hidden Word from the Arabic:
O Son of Spirit!
I created thee rich, why dost thou bring thyself
down to poverty? Noble I made thee, wherewith dost thou abase thyself?
Out of the essence of knowledge I gave thee being, why seekest thou
enlightenment from anyone beside Me? Out of the clay of love I moulded
thee, how doest thou busy thyself with another? Turn thy sight unto
thyself, that thou mayest find Me standing within thee, mighty, powerful
and self-subsisting.
These Perspicuous Verses
"O affectionate seeker..."
"The sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give light, and the stars shall fall from heaven..."
