Kevin Armstrong, our Senior Pastor starts us off our "se7en words that should change the world" series with a message titled "How will they know?"
Understanding how we are meant to live out our faith is easy. It can be summed up in just seven words. “We love because he first loved us.” (1 John 4:19). Those seven words pack a lot of punch when we think about them. That’s why we always think of this verse when we think about what our Outreach Ministries are all about at Forest Brook. These seven words tell us what we are to do, and why we are to do it. Outreach is all about loving our neighbours – and that’s the key – loving our neighbours. In this seven-part series we’ll be looking at biblical ways that helps us build our capacity to love our neighbours. We’ll uncrate these seven words so that they live in us, and flow out of us in engaging ways like prayer, service and hospitality. This series builds to a concrete climax at the end of the summer as we prepare to participate in the GTA-wide Alpha initiative this fall. But we don’t have to wait until then, to really love our neighbours!
