The Children‘s Media Conference
TV & Film
With the rapid rise of fake news, politicians making up their CVs and an American president who says traditional media can’t be trusted, the broadcast and online world can be pretty confusing. Add to that the pressure from the airbrushed lives shown on social media, and that now anyone can claim to be an ‘expert’ and give advice to children.
What can children’s media do to help kids keep their minds open while navigating their way through an ever more complex media world? Should ‘trusted’ providers even be bothering with so many media choices offering facts and opinions? Surely children can make up their own minds…?
