Samantha Rios is an actor and musician originally from Arlington, VA. She is currently a student at The University of Michigan studying Musical Theatre. In 2015, Samantha starred in Telemundo’s Reality TV Singing Competition, “La Voz Kids” as well as Season 13 of NBC’s “The Voice.” Since then, Samantha has sung backup for Sara Bareilles, Lin Manuel Miranda, and Christopher Jackson. She has also performed at The White House, the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, and various theatres in Washington, DC.
In this episode, Sami chats with host Maggie Bera about college auditions, studying musical theatre during the pandemic, social media, diversity in the arts and her hopes for the future of the theatre industry.
