The Ink and Paint Folk Podcast
TV & Film
Welcome to the Ink and Paint Girls podcast- a look at animation through the women who make it!
Hosted by Cassie Soliday
This week is all about the writers and artists of the Amazon series “PETE THE CAT” produced at Surfer Jack.
Today’s guest is storyboard artist, Whitney Tang!
In college, she was undeclared, starting out in industrial design until she found her way to animation. She’s worked on projects for Warner Brothers like Young Justice and some of the Lego DC movies like Aquaman - Rage of Atlantis, and DC Super Hero Girls, as well as Amazon’s “Pete the Cat.” In our chat, she shares why networking is so important to thriving in the industry, how she boards action sequences, pre-school song sequences, and why she enjoys both!
