Society & Culture
As head of the Archives and Rare Books Library at the University of Cincinnati, Kevin Grace had access to some the city’s oldest medical records, inspiring a decades long interest in the history of medicine and medical education in the region. In this episode, Grace shares stories of health care, and its challenges, from Cincinnati’s pioneer days through the Civil War and into the 20th century, including the role of Eclectic Medicine and its connection to alternative medical therapies today.
