This is an intimate moment with Jesus and three close friends. Lazarus has died, his sisters are upset and Jesus speaks these words of resurrection and life. Jesus can and desires to be our resurrection and life. He doesn’t simply want to give us new life, He wants to be our life. He can resurrect our new life no matter how dark and broken we may be. Even when we feel that we cannot go on and life is slipping out of us He says, let me be your new life, let me resurrect you.
