Relation Connection Family
The first two relation connections were Spiritual and Colleagues. If you have not listened to them go back and check out the first two episodes. Today is Family. The definition of family is support, love and caring for family, members providing security and a sense of belonging, open communication making each person in the family feel important, valued, respected and esteemed. The bible story we want to use here is Ruth and Boaz. They cared about family. You can find the story in the Book of Ruth.
Coaching Tips:
1. Remain committed to your family and stay in the game. Commitment is a decision you make. When you have a struggle find ways to work through the struggle.
2. Open your eyes to the needs of others in your family. Am I going to get involved and help without igniting a fire? Ask a question vs. making a statement. Stay flexible and don’t get offended.
3. Honor and respect one another. I am going to treat you better. How do you build a healthy relationship with someone close to you? Be slow to speak and quick to listen.
4. Create a sense of unity in the family. Give them things to look back on for stability. Create things for them to do.
