In Episode 48 we speak with Jalou Langeree, 3X world kitesurfing champion and woman of the water. Jalou shares her stories of growing up on the Dutch Coast and finding her love of surfing and kiting in the rugged North Sea. We hear of Jalou's focus on competing at the top level of women's kiteboarding, her love of traveling the world and riding new water, and the camaraderie amongst male and female competitors on the world tour. Jalou shares with us some of her favorite waves, stories of epic sessions in places like Mauritius, Morocco, and South Africa, all while maintaining a very humble perspective on life and family. We talk about being active in multiple sports such as SUP and foiling to maintain stoke overall for her core passion of kiting.
Thanks for sharing Jalou's ocean life with us. You can find pictures and video of Jalou on her Instagram page and website. There is also some fun stuff on the This Ocean Life Instagram and Facebook pages. We are also on Twitter ranting about anything cool happening in the ocean.
