In this episode of THE SOURCE, Quill and Scroll Executive Director talks with Barbara Tholen, the adviser at Lawrence (Kansas) High School. In 1996, as Barbara Hollingsworth, Tholen received a scholarship from Quill and Scroll, which she put to use studying journalism at Kansas State University.
Barbara graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in suburban Kansas City, and her high school journalism teacher was Becky (Lucas) Tate.
This year's Quill and Scroll Scholarship application deadline is May 10, and you can learn more about the scholarships on our website: https://quillandscroll.org/resources-2/.
