The last chapter of John’s Gospel narrates Peter (post denial) telling six other disciples he is going fishing, which was his job before Jesus. “Back to normal.” While they are fishing Jesus appears on the shore. Peter and Jesus re-establish a new relationship after Jesus’ resurrection, a relationship and calling that Peter could not ever imagine. Will we embrace a new normal long after the pandemic ends? Let’s explore this idea in light of Easter’s new creation.
