Just over a year ago, I had the opportunity to hang out with shredmaster Claudeous Creamer backstage at a Possessed show in Oakland, CA. At this time, Revelations of Oblivion was getting ready to be released and the band was gearing up for some major touring and promotion. And now, a year and some change later, Claudeous returns to the show to talk about his new band Power Shift, which is currently talking the metal world by storm. We discussed the formation and origin of the band, his heavy hitting bandmates Greg Christian (Testament/Trauma) and Jim Settle (Hand of Fire), his work with prolific producer/mixer/engineer Juan Urteaga, and the band's upcoming debut album. We also shot the shit about some random awesomeness, my experience at that now ;legendary Possessed show, and what Claudeous has been doing during Covid to retain his sanity. So stick around and check out this conversation and hear the debut single from Power Shift called Survive.
