In today’s episode of Powerful, Jeff and his colleague & friend Jessica Mills tackle the first ingredient of building an intentional community, which is that there has to be a problem/challenge for the community to rally behind.
Jess is a social worker by trade and a lover of all things outdoors and fitness related. Throughout the show Jess and Jeff discuss the problem/challenge that Base Camp sought to solve and how it was clear that the problem the community was attempting to solve was much bigger than the addiction itself. Enjoy this episode as these two friends explore the need for connection on a human level and how the wilderness treatment centre Enviros Base Camp created a community for youth, families and staff alike to feel a shared sense of purpose and meaningful connection.
