Join Caroline Wilson, one of Australia’s most recognizable female sporting personalities, at Deakin Edge for the 2016 David Parkin Oration.
The distinguished David Parkin Oration honors the significant contribution of David Parkin OAM to Australian society in sport, leadership, and education.
In the 35 years since Caroline Wilson has been covering football, the game has changed. Once a male domain, Caroline has played a crucial part in bridging the gap and breaking down barriers, proving women can win, not just play, in a man’s world.
The David Parkin Oration is a free public event that looks to promote the advancement of general knowledge by exploring the challenges and opportunities for sport to act as a driver of social change. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from Caroline as she reflects on her journey, sharing her triumphs and tribulations that have led to social change in a male arena.
