What’s the visitor experience like when you go to another club? Are the members welcoming, do the staff go out of their way to help, or do you get the distinct sense some would rather you weren’t there?
We were drawn to an archive letter in The Times, dating back a century, which chastised seaside clubs for the reception visitors were accorded and it got us thinking, how does that experience compare with now?
In this week’s From the Clubhouse, a podcast from National Club Golfer, Steve Carroll is joined by Hannah Holden and Tom Irwin to look back at how things were for this particular golfer and discuss whether or not visitors are still getting such treatment when they go to play an unfamiliar course.
The team also dive into the whole array of membership options, including points and flexible golf membership categories.
