Ireland could be vulnerable to UK unilateral action on energy this winter – that’s the warning from a Fine Gael MEP. Ireland gets three-quarters of its gas through a pipeline from Britain. Midlands North West MEP, Colm Markey, says it is urgent that the Taoiseach gets guarantees from new Prime Minister, Liz Truss, that the UK will not do anything to jeopardise that supply.
