Civil Rights Complaint. Complaints have been filed by a same-sex couple wanting to do a wedding ceremony at the Rouch World Event Center in Sturgis, Michigan. Our client declined and the women both filed complaints with the MI Civil Rights Dept. alleging public accommodation discrimination. They are claiming that they were discriminated against because of their failure to “conform to sex stereotypes about how women are expected to present themselves” as it relates to their “physical appearance, actions, and/or behaviors.” This is clearly false.
