“Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it. What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self? Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.” (Luke 9v23-26)
Yesterday we looked at the Cross of Jesus Christ. Today we look at the Christian having to carry their own cross, as commanded by Jesus! What is our response to that to be? It must be just about the hardest, toughest, most difficult thing Jesus ever said to his followers. We are being commanded to count the cost of following Him. How do we count the cost of following Jesus? What does this mean for the Christian Disciple?
Come and explore by downloading and listening to the podcast and discover what the Bible has to say about the Christian, taking up their own cross and counting the cost of following Jesus Christ!
