The Park family of Musselburgh will be forever etched in golf history. Willie Park Sr was a four-time Open champion, including the very first in 1860, while his brother, Mungo Park, and son, Willie Park Jr, won three Opens between them.
Willie Park's great grandson - also called Mungo - joins Steve Carroll on the NCG Golf Podcast to consider the legacy of Musselburgh and look back at a time when this small town on the outskirts of Edinburgh once ruled the golf world, how it became a victim of its own success, and why even its decline was hugely important in establishing golf as a global game.
