Renoites- The Podcast about Reno Nevada
Society & Culture
This episode was recorded live at Black Rabbit Mead on 11/30/22
Rachel Macintyre and Jessie Phillips are serial entrepreneurs in the local maker/pop-up retail/networking/co-working business as founders of their company Wandering Wyld (and it's associated Wyld Marketplace, Wyld Women Networking, and more..)
On this week's bonus live episode of Renoites, recorded at Black Rabbit Mead, Conor talks with Rachel and Jessie about the original intent of creating pop-up markets for local makers, investing in a historic building as a co-working space and event venue, adapting ideas and strategies from traditional retail to the pop-up model, listening thoughtfully to feedback and criticism, and much more!
Their current holiday pop-up market featuring goods by local makers can be found in the new Reno Public Market on Plumb and Virginia in Reno, in the building that used to be Shopper's Square mall. They'll also be opening a permanent marketplace there in January.
