—Here are 3 big things you need to know—
Three— A proposal to ban fracking in Michigan could land on the ballot in November. The state appeals court last week ruled in favor of fracking opponents and revived their effort to present the issue to voters. The court said state election officials were wrong to reject petitions with more than 270,000 signatures in 2018.
Two— General Motors will start making face masks on Monday at its once-shuttered Warren Transmission plant to offset a severe shortage of masks caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Once production is at full scale, GM will make 50,000 masks a day, or up to 1.5 million a month.
And number one— Vice President Mike Pence says the people of Michigan will have resources they need to fight COVID-19. He made the statement during a Sunday briefing at the White House. Michigan now has the 3rd highest number of number of cases in the country
