In this episode of The Darkroom Podcast we spoke to photographer and venture capitalist Bijan Sabet. Bijan is Co-founder and General Partner at Spark Capital where he has become an early stage investor in some of the most impactful technology companies including Tumblr, Oculus, and Twitter. As a film photographer, Bijan’s street and landscape work covers a breadth of subjects as he travels the world with a camera in hand. We get a chance to hear Bijan’s unique perspective on the creative industry and how he believes content creators are some of the best entrepreneurs who make their vision come to life everyday. We walk through what Bijan looks for in early stage investments including the stark divide between missionary and mercenary entrepreneurs and where he sees the role of the creator in a platform dependent world.
