Chris McEleny is the SNP Leader of Inverclyde Council and a member of the SNP National Executive Committee.
Along with Angus Brendan MacNeil, Chris has proposed a debate take place at SNP Conference to discuss an alternative legal route to enable independence be voted by the Scottish electorate should Westminster continually refuse to transfer the power to Holyrood to enable a referendum to take place. The original resolution was rejected on the grounds that greater membership communication was needed for such a policy to be considered. It is now hoped to include such a debate within a resolution debating the success of Holyrood this past 20 years.
Chris is visiting SNP branches to talk about Plan B and answer questions in the hope members/branches will follow up and support Plan B.
IndyPram would like to express sincere thanks to Chris McEleny and Milngavie SNP branch for giving permission to record the meeting for the benefit of the wider SNP membership, branches who may well want to support a Plan B should it be needed, and the wider grassroots movement.
