But as eating fads targeted at men, like the keto diet and carnivore diet, come and go, he continues to eat a whole food plant-based diet since the best longitudinal nutrition studies and his own before-and-after blood work supports that this is the optimal diet for disease prevention! 10 years ago, eating vegan was inherently more health-promoting than the standard American diet. But with the rise of the meat and cheese alternative industry, most of which is owned by the meat and cheese corporations themselves, Evan asserts that one must minimize the use of these substitutes to truly experience the health benefits of plant-based eating these days!
