Ashif Mawji is a wildly successful tech entrepreneur and graduate of NAIT’s Computer Systems Technology Program. After multiple successful startups, Ashif's biggest hit came in 2012 when he sold his company, Upside Software, for $22 million. Now working as a venture capitalist, Ashif dedicates a ton of energy to making the city of Edmonton a better place through his philanthropic work with Kids Kottage, Stollery Children’s Hospital, and Edmonton Police Foundation. Ashif's aspirational legacy? To help grow Alberta's burgeoning Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning industry into a viable replacement for our resource dependency.
