This week's episode covers Act 28 of Sailor Moon Crystal (which is actually episode 29 of the series) Act 28 of the manga and references a bunch of episodes of the 90s anime mostly spanning between episodes 107 and 111, which cover the bulk of Eudial's storyline. We're joined by our dear friend Xander Jeanneret (@Xanderrific of King of the Nerds and Library Bards fame) who lived in Japan for a while and actually speaks Japanese. Needless to say, he was able to provide some pretty valuable insight into the Haruka pronoun/is she pretending to be a boy or not situation. He also brings up some interesting points regarding choices made in the 90s anime to make Sailor Moon a bit more kid-friendly i.e. really emphasizing Usagi's healing/love powers rather than having her attacks actually kill people, like she does to Eudial in Crystal/the manga.
