Now that the season of Christmas has ended, we find ourselves living between the two great seasons of the Church - Christmas and Easter. We ARE, in the messy middle. We now have an opportunity to contemplate how the LIFE of Jesus intersects with our own. We get to ask - what does God being human mean for my own humanity? Today, we look at Jesus' first miracle - which, when compared to others, seems superfluous. There's no healing here, no raising someone from the dead...not even a kicking out of demons...just water turning into wine. Jesus uncorks the bottle of Kingdom life and we need to pay attention, so that we too may have a full life.
