Paul, writing from the depths of a Roman prison, writes to Timothy, his younger protege, Paul, nearing the end of his life, imparts wisdom upon Timothy as to how he should conduct his ministry. Paul tells Timothy not to be ashamed of the gospel that has put Paul in chains and the gospel that should make Christians today suffer much for the sake of Christ.
