God rejoices and hopes along with us – Immanuel, “God with us” (Isaiah 7:13-15). It is this
theology of the incarnate God that makes Christianity the most unique and powerful faith on
the planet. This incarnation of God is both scandalous to some outside the faith, but to the
faithful it is the transforming authority of the Gospel. Our task therefore is to follow God’s lead
and incarnate with the poor and voiceless. Christianity is marked by the incarnate body of
Christ.
