12 ‘I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.’ (John 16:12-15)
3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. 7 But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. 8 This is why it says:
‘When he ascended on high, he took many captives and gave gifts to his people.’ (Ephesians 4:3-8)
One of the problems that people have with the Christian God is the concept of God being a Trinity. They ask questions such as: “Why must God be a Trinity?” After all they say, the word Trinity isn’t in the Bible! And they are partly correct, insomuch as that there is no explicit Bible text using the word trinity. However, the concept is explicit throughout the Bible.
Come and explore what the Bible has to say about God being the Trinity. What are some of the problems which can be overcome concerning this essential doctrine of the Christian faith? How does the Bible illustrate the concept of God being Trinity? “God is one” the Bible screams throughout, so how can you say that God is Trinity? These and other questions we seek to answer! So come on it! Let’s discover together more about God as Trinity by listening to the podcast!
