What are the offices that Jesus executes as our redeemer?  What is the office of Prophet?  How does Jesus fulfill that role?  How does Jesus make God’s will known to humanity?  What is the spiritual gift of prophecy, and how is it connected to the office of prophet that Jesus executes?

 

On this episode of the Podechesis Podcast, the guys discuss questions 23 and 24 or John Wesley’s Revision of the Westminster Shorter Catechism: Q23-What offices does Christ execute as our redeemer? & Q24-How does Christ execute the office of a prophet?  In this discussion Allen, Brett, and Jim talk about the Old Testament foundations of the offices of Christ (Prophet, Priest, and King), Jesus’ humiliation and exaltation, How Jesus reveals God’s will and plan of salvation.  They also get into an important discussion about spiritual gifts and how they are connected to the work of Jesus.

 

Along the way, Brett’s ability to count will be called into question, Allen will attempt to characterize the Podechesis crew according to characters on the hit TV show, The Office, and Jim will be shown the door.
