The EU’s foreign policy chief this morning said humanitarian support must be allowed into the Gaza Strip to bring badly needed supplies there. Josep Borrell said “queues and queues of trucks” are waiting to enter the Gaza Strip.
Mr Borrell was speaking in Luxembourg ahead of a meeting of EU foreign affairs ministers where the Israeli-Palestinian crisis will be discussed. He told reporters the “great powers have forgotten about the Palestinian issue” and the peace process. And he said the same concerns have to be shown to every civilian killed in the Israel-Palestinian crisis.
