This week we welcomed Rep. Attica Scott and her daughter Ashanti to speak about their arrest as well as their efforts in the fight for justice for Breonna Taylor. Rep. Scott talked to us about "Breonna's Law", which she filed for the 2021 session, and Ashanti Scott talked to us about juggling her classes at UofL during the COVID-19 pandemic with participating in demonstrations and protests.
During the show, Robert previewed the 2020 Kentucky legislative elections, including seats where Democrats might pick up seats and places where Republicans are favored to pick up seats in both the House and Senate, throughout the state. Jazmin talked through the developments in the Breonna Taylor grand jury, new evidence we've learned about in the case, and the ongoing protest movement, as well as a COVID update. Jazmin also gave her take on the second constitutional amendment on the ballot this year.
