On this week’s episode of From the Forest, John and Zane will be chatting about their observations of the trees and forest now that we are close to the middle part of August and Fall is staring us in the face. It might not seem like it, but highs in the 60’s and lows in the 40’s are forecasted, to me this means it’s time to start to stop daydreaming and start actually thinking about the fall and leaving the hot ugly summer weather behind. We will discuss American Ginseng, its use, and how to conserve it. We will also discuss the leaf diseases we are noticing these last couple of weeks, what it means for the trees, and also think forward to what we predict for the fall; food for wildlife, and more.
