Kat identifies primarily as a Persian woman, and easily finds ways to identity with other people she meets. Kat prefers the pronouns she and her. Kat is an immigrant and a self-described ‘born-again’ American. She has devoted her life to fighting for equal opportunity and human rights for all. Among other things, Kat discussed raising a teenage son the in #MeToo era, and the importance of confronting sexism (and other ‘-isms’) in a way that meets people where they are.
